A Light Wind Session

I never get a chance to vimeo the windsurfers because they are either out the front or off Coonarr wavesailing. Today I got a few shots of Nev wavesailing - but he's not happy with the session - the wind was too light so nothing spectacular.

I am always impressed with Nev's grit - I get down there at 8:30 in the morning, and there is not a soul in sight, Nev's car is the only one in the car park, and he is out the front on his own battling the elements, and often he's already been out for a couple of hours by the time I am getting onto the water.

This was a light wind session, so Nev was on his big board, a 101 litre Mistral Joker, rigged with a 5.8 Ezzy Wave SE. He is a sprightly guy, so it was only blowing 12-16 knots or so. Still, the video clip gives you an idea of what he gets up to out there...
