Ray & Caleb Kitesurfing

Epic sessions are taking their toll...

Ray was barely out on his 9m kite when a failed jump left him gasping. Turns out he agrivated an injury from the previous day - possibly a broken rib.

After Ray's misadventure, Caleb took his 9m kite out for a spin. Sadly I didn't notice that the camera lense got covered in salt spray, so the images of Caleb are a bit soft.

Kaleb and Ray

As I started packing up after my brutal 4 hour up-the-river underpowered self recovery mission Caleb and Ray turned up. Ray was on the water with his 9m kite first.

Ivon, Andrew and Kaleb watch Ray kiting.

Ivor, Andrew and Caleb watch Ray from the beach.

After a brief run, Ray came in gasping. He had aggravated an injury from the day before and was in a hurry to get his harness off to relieve the pain.

Andrew and Kaleb discussing his kite.

Caleb relieves Ray of his kite and after a brief discussion with Andrew, takes it for a spin.

Camera fog...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT2 digital camera

Sadly, the lense on my DMC-FT2 go covered with salt spray, which was causing it to fog up and loose both image sharpness and contrast. I didn't notice because it was overcast there was a hole lot of glare. Next time I take this camera out in strong onshore winds I will have to take a lense cleaning cloth and check it regularly. I upped the contrast in the Video of Caleb, but unfortunately the images are not as crisp as those of Ray.
